Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 12 assured that 100 per cent animals will be vaccinated against foot and mouth disease (FMD) and brucellosis in India by 2025. “Women are the real leaders of India’s dairy sector. In 2014, India produced 146 million tonnes of milk. Now it has increased to 210 million tonnes. That is, an increase of about 44 percent. We are also pushing for universal vaccination of animals. We have resolved that by 2025, we will vaccinate 100% of the animals against Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis.
