102 year old private sector bank revises fixed deposit interest rates

The bank will now offer an interest rate of 3.00% on fixed deposits maturing in the next 7 days to 90 days, while CSB Bank is also offering an interest rate of 3.50% on fixed deposits maturing in the next 91 days to 179 days. Deposits maturing from 180 days to less than one year will be offered a new interest rate of 4.25%, and deposits maturing in one year will be offered a new interest rate of 5.00%. CSB Bank will now offer an interest rate of 5.50% on deposits maturing in more than 1 year to less than 400 days and deposits maturing in 400 days will now attract an interest rate of 6.00% at CSB Bank.

The bank will now pay an interest rate of 5.50% on fixed deposits maturing in 400 days or more but less than 555 days, while CSB Bank will now pay a maximum interest rate of 7% on deposits maturing in 555 days. Fixed deposits maturing from 555 days to more than two years will now attract 5.50% interest, while fixed deposits maturing from two years to more than five years will now attract 5.75% interest. The bank will now offer fixed deposits maturing in more than five years and up to ten years at an interest rate of 6.00%.

For older persons who are residents of India, CSB Bank offers Acharya deposits, on which the bank offers the benefit of higher interest rates. CSB Bank offers interest rates ranging from 4.75% to 6.50% to senior citizens on deposits maturing in 180 days to 10 years. The bank will now offer a maximum interest rate of 7% to the aged people on Acharya deposits maturing in 555 days.
