12 more infected with dengue in Prayagraj Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: 12 new dengue cases were reported in the city on Thursday, taking the number of infected to 415. New cases were reported in Shankargarh (1), Mouima (1), Manda (1), Saidabad (1), Bai Ka Bagh (1). Karanpur (1), Chhotabaghara (1), Attarsuiya (1), Bailey Colony (1), Lala Ki Sarai (1), Nevada (1) and Stanley Road (1). Of the 12 cases reported on Thursday, eight were from urban areas while the remaining four were from rural areas.
Further, out of the total 415 dengue cases in the district so far, 296 were in urban areas while the rest 119 were in rural areas.
After witnessing a significant increase in dengue cases in urban areas, health department officials on Thursday intensified anti-larva spraying campaigns in Chhota Baghara, Bailey Colony, Nevada, Stanley Road and Bai Ka Bagh areas.
The officials appealed to the people to adopt preventive measures to keep the mosquito-borne disease away. Anti-larval spraying and fogging were also carried out in the areas across Ganga and Yamuna.
