121 test positive, one more death of Kovid-19 in Varanasi Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: 121 persons tested positive for Covid-19 while 174 out of 175 patients in home isolation and in a hospital facility were cured in Varanasi district on Wednesday. However, a 60-year-old patient died at BHU hospital.
5,760 people were tested.
According to the daily medical bulletin, the district recorded 2.1% positivity rate and 91.56% recovery rate.
At present, there are 1,062 active cases of Kovid-19 in Varanasi.
In Chandauli district, nine persons, including four women and a child, tested positive for Covid-19, while 21 patients were declared healthy on Wednesday. Samples of 1630 people were taken for investigation. Presently, there are 100 active cases of Kovid-19 in Chandauli.
On Wednesday, 31 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Jaunpur district and 75 patients were cured in home isolation.
At present, there are 194 active cases of Kovid-19 in Jaunpur.
In Ballia district, five persons tested positive for Covid-19, while 13 patients were cured on Wednesday. At present, there are 41 active cases of COVID-19 in Ballia.
