13 killed in road accident in Pakistan – Times of India

Lahore: At least 13 people were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a truck in Punjab province. Pakistanofficials said.

“After the accident, the bus got buried under sugarcane bags and it took a long time for the rescue team to take the injured to the hospital,” the statement said.
It is being told that the driver of the truck managed to escape from the spot.
Road accidents have become rampant in Pakistan, pointing to the fact that substandard infrastructure, dilapidated vehicles and lack of compliance with traffic rules add to the overall situation.
