China’s oldest man, Alimihan Seyti, died on Thursday at the age of 135 in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, local officials said today. According to the county’s Propaganda Department, Alimihan Seyti was born on June 25, 1886, from Comexeric Township.

In 2013, she topped the list of China’s oldest living persons released by the China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, formerly known as the Gerontological Society of China, reported the official Xinhua News Agency.

He had a very simple and regular daily life till his death. He ate his meals on time and enjoyed sunbathing in his yard. Sometimes, she helped take care of her great-grandchildren.

Komuxerik is known as a “longevity city”, with many elders over the age of 90.

Improvements in health services have partly contributed to their longevity. The report said the local government provided contracted doctor service, free annual physical check-ups and monthly advanced age subsidies for the elderly over the age of 60.
