Two people have been arrested for converting to Christianity by luring 22 people in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. A senior police officer gave this information on Wednesday.
A video of the alleged conversion has also surfaced, he said.
Following a complaint, a case was registered against three people, including a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, for allegedly luring people to convert.
Superintendent of Police Siddhartha Chowdhary said two of them, Vijay Badole and his aunt Manjula Badole, were arrested under the Anti-Conversion Act.
According to the complaint, the incident is from Rasgaon Malpura village.
The SP said that a police team would soon be sent to Arunachal Pradesh to arrest the third accused.
Earlier this month, police arrested nine people, seven from Rajasthan and Gujarat, under the anti-conversion law in the state’s tribal-dominated Jhabua district.
