The meeting of the Vidhan Sabha has been tentatively scheduled for January 3 and 4.

New Delhi:

An official bulletin said on Monday that the two-day session of the Delhi Assembly will begin from January 3 to begin legislative business.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the Delhi Cabinet has approved the setting up of the Delhi Teachers’ University and said a bill on this would be placed before the Assembly in the upcoming session.

“Honorable Members are hereby informed that the Fourth Part of the Second Session of the Seventh Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall commence on Monday, the 3rd January, 2022 at 11 AM,” the Assembly Bulletin said.

It said that the meeting of the assembly is likely to be fixed on January 3 and 4.

In view of the threat of Kovid, it will be mandatory for the members to wear face masks and follow social distancing. They will sit as per the plan of the meeting to ensure proper physical distance between them, the bulletin said.

Members are mandatorily required to carry the final certificate for COVID-19 vaccination or a COVID-negative test report issued 48 hours before the commencement of the session on January 3, it said.

The session will have Question Hour and members will be able to raise important issues under special mention.
