Ludhiana: Moti Nagar Police on Sunday arrested two for allegedly robbing a 25-year-old man of cash, jewelery and mobile phone.
The accused have been identified as Navdeep Singh, a resident of Vishwakarma Chowk, and Inderveer Singh, a resident of Bhagwan Nagar, Dholewal, while their accomplice Manpreet Singh Vishwakarma is absconding from Chowk.
Victim Sahil Kapoor Janakpuri told that on April 12, around nine o’clock in the night, he was going towards Cheema Chowk on his scooter. When he reached near Corporation Park, the accused arrived there on a motorbike – they stopped him and assaulted him, saying they robbed him of his silver bracelet, chain, ring besides mobile phone and Rs 3,900 in cash. While running away, the accused locked his scooty and took the keys with him so that he could not follow them.
But Kapoor had noted down the registration number of his bike. He then borrowed a mobile and called the police. He shared the registration number with the police, which helped in locating the accused.
Inquiry Officer Sub-Inspector Rachpal Singh of Moti Nagar police station said on Sunday that they have arrested two accused and raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused. news network
