The first incident occurred on Thursday night, when 35-year-old Pintya Pandrinath Jadhav, a resident of Padgha in taluka, had gone fishing near the floodplain. A fire brigade official said that during the movement, he fell into the water and got washed away.

He said a search was made for him, but he could not be traced.

In another incident, 19-year-old Asif Ansari, who had gone to swim in the Kamavari river on Friday, was washed away. Another official said that despite all the efforts, he could not be traced.
