With this, all the states will be able to provide supplementary education in regional languages ​​for classes 1-12.”

A digital university will be set up to provide world class quality universal education with personalized learning experience at their doorstep to students across the country. It will be made available in various Indian languages ​​and ICT formats, he added.

“The university will be built on a network hub-spoke model, with hub building state-of-the-art ICT expertise. The country’s best public universities and institutions will collaborate as a hub-spoke network,” Sitaraman said.

The Finance Minister proposed that in vocational courses, 750 virtual labs in science and maths, and 75 skill e-labs for simulated learning environment, to foster critical thinking skills and give space for creativity, in 2022-23 will be installed.

“High quality e-content will be developed in all spoken languages ​​for distribution through internet, mobile phones, TV and radio through digital teachers. Sitharaman announced that to develop India-specific knowledge in urban planning and design and provide certified training in these areas, five existing educational institutions in different sectors will be designated as Centers of Excellence.

“An endowment fund of Rs 250 crore each will be provided to these centres. In addition, AICTE will take the lead in improving the curricula, quality and accessibility of urban planning courses in other institutions.

“World-class foreign universities and institutions will be allowed to offer courses in Gujarat International Finance Tech (GIFT), Citi in financial management, fintech, science, technology, engineering and mathematics free from domestic regulations, to be facilitated by IFSCA.
