2021 Ducati Monster goes on sale in India with prices starting at ₹10.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard version and ₹11.24 Lakh for the Ducati Monster Plus variant. the monster brand Ducati Over 25 years old and represents the nude sports portfolio from Ducati. Now the new Monster on the block is a new model and sees updates in every department, including the chassis, engine, design and set of features. Bookings for the new Monster started a week ago and interested customers can book the motorcycle at any Ducati dealership for an amount of ₹1 lakh.

The design of the new monster has also seen an update. The motorcycle feels a lot leaner and meaner than before and looks sharper than before. The panel and headlight design are different and the LED ring around the headlight looks really cool. The rear also looks sleek and the overall silhouette of the motorcycle feels sportier than before.

The Ducati Monster does away with its iconic trellis frame and now gets an aluminum frame and an aluminum swingarm, inspired by the Panigale V4. The rear sub-frame is made of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP), which makes it lighter and stronger than before. The new Monster is 18kg lighter than the Monster 821, which weighs 166kg.

The new Monster gets 43 mm upside down forks with 130 mm of travel and an adjustable monoshock at the rear with 140 mm of travel. The bike also gets new 17-inch alloys which are lighter than before. These include Pirelli Diablo Rosso III rubber, a 120/70 unit up front and a 180/55 unit at the rear. Up front, it gets twin Brembo M4.32 4-piston monoblock calipers that hold two 320 mm discs. At the rear of the bike is a single 245 mm disc gripped by Brembo calipers. Like the front brake, the rear caliper also gets sintered brake pads.

The engine of the new Monster is also a new unit. The L-twin engine displaces 937 cc and is liquid-cooled. The same engine also powers the Ducati Hypermotard and 2021 Ducati SuperSport. On the Monster, it is mated to 110 bhp at 9,250 rpm along with 93 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and Ducati offers a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard fitment.

The new Ducati Monster gets ride-by-wire with ABS, cornering ABS, power launch, traction control and wheelie control and three riding modes which are Sport, Touring and Urban. All the modes allow the rider to adjust the other electronics as per his requirement. The new Ducati Monster also gets a new 4.3-inch full color TFT instrument console with Panigale V4-inspired graphics. Globally, the naked middleweight motorcycle gets two variants, Monster and Monster Plus. The latter gets a flyscreen above the headlight and a cover for the rear seat.
