The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan facelift 5-seater SUV will be launched in India on December 7. As already announced by Volkswagen, this is one of the four SUVs that the company had planned to launch in India this year, along with the other three – the all-new Taigun and 2021 versions of the T-Roc and the Tiguan. Like the pre-facelift Tiguan, Volkswagen There are plans to locally assemble the mid-size SUV in India. Visually, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan comes with updated styling in line with the current design language of the brand. It sports LED matrix headlights and a slightly tweaked grille along with LED DRLs that give a sleek look. Apart from this, the front bumper has been given a facelift, which houses the triangular shaped fog lamps. There are slimmer taillights at the rear to enhance the overall appeal of the SUV.

The Tiguan gets a redesigned cabin equipped with a virtual cockpit, Vienna leather seats, 30 shades of ambient lighting, illuminated scuff plates, expansive panoramic sunroof, illuminated gear knob, touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, flat-bottom steering wheel even get. Multi-functions, driver-side electric seat with memory function, three-zone climate control and much more. For safety, the SUV gets 6-airbags, a driver alert system, ABS, tire pressure monitoring system, ESP, ASR, EDL, auto hold, hill start assist, hill descent control and more.

As part of VW Group’s new strategy for India, the Volkswagen Tiguan will also be a petrol-only SUV, and will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that is tuned to make 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard and will be mated to a 4Motion all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
