The 2022 Alto K10 can be seen in the teaser images and video released by Maruti Suzuki, which will feature a redesigned front and rear design. Up front, new petal-shaped halogen headlamps and a larger air dam will dominate the look. However, no provision can be made for the fog lamps on the front bumper. At the rear, the rear light cluster of the Alto K10 seems to be inspired by the recently launched Celerio hatchback. It could also get a reverse parking feature for this year.
Reports also suggest that the 2022 Alto K10 will be offered in four variants. These are likely to be the Std, Lxi, Vxi and VXi+ in typical Maruti Suzuki fashion. There is also the possibility of having alternate sub-versions of each of these types. As per reports, the company will introduce its new 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre K10C dual-jet petrol engine for duty in the Alto, which is also expected to come with an AMT transmission option. The K10C engine produces 67 hp of maximum power and 89 Nm of torque.
In terms of features, the VXi+ variant of the 2022 Alto K10 will get a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, front power windows, remote keys, partial LCD instrument cluster and more. Safety features like dual-front airbags and ABS are also expected. The latest Alto K10 will be sold alongside the outgoing Alto 800 in the domestic market.
