2022 Hyundai Tucson India Bookings Open

Hyundai has started booking its flagship Tucson mid-size SUV in India ahead of its launch next month. The new Tucson will be available in two variants, Platinum and Signature, with two engine options – a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. Both the engines are available with a fully automatic gearbox as the diesel also gets an all-wheel drive option. The booking amount has been fixed at Rs. 50,000

The new Tucson features an all-new design inside and out, one of the first models from Hyundai globally to receive the company’s new Sensual Sportiness design language. The SUV has many cuts and creases along the exterior surfaces which give the SUV a sharper design than the outgoing model. The nose is dominated by the Hyundai parametric jewel design grille, which has a dark chrome finish on both sides by L-shaped segmented LED DRLs. The cabin up front gets a split-cockpit look with a 10.25-inch touchscreen dominating the center console and a second similarly sized free standing unit behind the steering. Hyundai is offering five single tone and two dual tone color options for the Tucson.

Coming to the equipment, the highlight of the new Tucson will be its advanced driver assistance system. Hyundai is offering Level 2 ADAS technology on the Tucson along with SUVs capable of identifying other cars, two-wheelers and pedestrians in its path and taking preventive measures. The SUV also packs in smart cruise control with blind-spot and cross-traffic collision warning and avoidance functions, as well as lane keep assist and stop and go.

Other notable technology on offer includes 360-degree cameras, blind spot monitoring, BlueLink connected vehicle tech, Bose audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered front seats, hands free tailgate opening and more .

The safety kit includes six airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill start assist, hill descent control and tire pressure monitoring system.

On the engine front, the Tucson is available with either a 154 bhp 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 184 bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol is available with a 6-speed automatic while the diesel uses an 8-speed automatic as standard. The Signature variant also gets the option of all-wheel drive in the diesel.

The new Tucson can be booked at 246 outlets spread across 125 cities in India. The SUV will be available through the company’s signature outlet chain.
