2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400 launched in India at Rs 4.99 lakh: Specs, Features, Rivals – Times of India

After being put off for a while after the BS-VI emission norms were introduced, Kawasaki ninja 400 MY2022 has been launched in the country today. The 2022 Ninja 400 is already available in international markets and in India, it will retail at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which is significantly more expensive than its direct rival KTM RC 390, which retails at Rs 3.14 lakh (ex-showroom). ) is sold. In its transition to BS-VI standards, the bike has not lost any power.
The Ninja 400 continues to be powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 44 bhp and 37 Nm of torque. The 2022 model makes the same power as the previous model, on the other hand the torque has been reduced by only 1 Nm. The gearbox is the same six-speed unit assisted by a slipper clutch.
The motorcycle looks the same with the H2 inspired design and styling as before. So, it gets sharper lines, bolder tank design, twin-pod headlamps, and turn indicators integrated into the fairing. The bike gets a dual-tone finish with side-slung exhaust which matches well with the sporty outfit. The fuel tank capacity is 14 liters.

The 2022 model’s hardware remains the same as the older version, which means it gets 41mm telescopic forks and a preload-adjustable rear shock. Braking equipment includes 300 mm petal discs at the front and 220 mm at the rear.
The 2022 Ninja 400 is available in two color options – Lime Green with Ebony (KRT Edition) and Metallic Carbon Grey.
