The retro-styled 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS arrives in India just weeks after its global debut and is priced around Rs. 41,000 more expensive than the Z650 on which it is based.

India kawasaki Motors has launched the 2022 Z650RS, priced at Rs 6.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS arrives in the country just a few weeks after its global debut and the retro-styled motorcycle will be offered in two color options – Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey. The new 650cc Kawasaki Z650 is based on the naked motorcycle but gets a retro design language similar to that of the Kawasaki Z900. The bike comes at a delectable price tag which makes it more affordable than the Triumph Trident 660.

The retro design of the Kawasaki Z650RS is carried over from the iconic Z1 with round LED headlamps, squarish fuel tank, twin-pod instrumentation and more.

The new Z650RS takes inspiration from the iconic Kawasaki Z1. The neo-retro design theme features a round LED headlamp, new multi-spoke alloy wheels and a twin-pod analog instrument console with a digital readout. The slim pinstripe fuel tank further accentuates the retro styling, while the tall single seat should make things comfortable for the rider and pillion.

Power on the new Kawasaki Z650RS comes from the familiar 649 cc twin-cylinder motor that is also seen on the Z650. The power figures remain the same at 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm. The trellis frame remains the same and so does the suspension set-up with 41mm telescopic front forks and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. For braking performance, there is a 300 mm disc at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

2022 Kawasaki Z650RS deliveries will begin in India by the end of November

Compared to the Z650, the 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS is about ₹ 41,000 more expensive for the retro design. Bookings for the motorcycle are now open at 29 Kawasaki dealerships across India. The company says that it will start deliveries of the motorcycle from the last week of November or early December this year.
