2023 SUVs to be launched with ADAS: Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and more

The Government of India is working to improve the safety of cars in India, recently the number of accidents has increased even more. Taking cognizance of the situation, OEMs are also working towards making the vehicles safer. Moving in the same direction, several mass production cars are now expected to be launched in India with Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS). This safety feature is expected to make the roads safer for the occupants as well as others. It is to be noted that this safety feature was earlier limited to high-end cars only. However, the situation is about to change with the launch of these upcoming SUVs with ADAS technology.

Hyundai Creta Facelift

One of the most popular SUVs in India, Hyundai Creta, is awaiting the launch of its next generation version. The new SUV is expected to be launched in India in the first half of 2023. This new variant of the car will be launched with ADAS, which includes features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic collision, autonomous emergency braking, among others. Apart from safety feature upgrades, the car will also get cosmetic updates. Similar changes will be made to the interiors of the car along with a larger infotainment system equipped with connectivity features. However, the powertrain of the SUV will remain the same.

Tata Safari facelift

Tata Motors is working on the launch of the Tata Safari, and the car has been spied testing several times. The test mule of the SUV hints at cosmetic changes such as redesigned front and rear. Especially the design of bumper, headlamp and rear lamp is expected to change. The SUV is also expected to have ADAS with features like automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, a drowsiness warning system, and more.

The MG Hector facelift SUV is scheduled to be launched in India on January 5, 2023. The SUV comes with several changes to its looks which include a new design, loaded with chrome and several cosmetic changes like new DRL and headlight housing. Along with these changes, the SUV will also get ADAS as a safety feature. However, no changes have been made to the powertrain of the SUV; It will be similar to the previous generation. When launched, the SUV will compete against rivals like Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and others.
