Union Health Ministry’s Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said on Friday that a total of 25 cases of the new strain Omicron have been reported in the country so far, in which all the cases were found to have mild symptoms.
The government official said that out of the total number of omicron cases detected in India, nine are from Rajasthan, three from Gujarat, 10 from Maharashtra, two from Karnataka and one from Delhi.
