3 arrested after woman’s body found in drain in Mumbai: Police

Mumbai:

A Mumbai Police official said on Friday that the murder of a woman in Nehru Nagar has been resolved with the arrest of three women.

He was arrested from Kurla East on Thursday evening after investigation started after the woman’s body was found from the drain a day earlier, he said.

“The deceased was in a relationship with the husband of one of the accused. She was strangled and then her body was stuffed in a sack, which was dumped in a drain near Bantara Bhawan,” he said.

“We checked the surrounding CCTV footage and arrested two siblings. The main accused, his sister and a friend killed the woman in the early hours of October 1, the officer said.
