3 new portraits of Duchess Kate Middleton released on her 40th birthday

Kensington Palace released one of three new pictures of Duchess Kate Middleton on Twitter.

To mark Duchess Kate Middleton’s 40th birthday on January 9, Kensington Palace has released three new portraits of a member of the royal family. The Duchess of Cambridge has been photographed by Paolo Roversi, and the photos were clicked at Kew Gardens in November 2021, a Kensington Palace announcement said. Three stunning portraits of the Duchess will be part of the collection at the National Portrait Gallery. “Delighted to share a new portrait of the Duchess ahead of her 40th birthday tomorrow,” said a statement from Kensington Palace linked to one of the three images on Twitter.

Along with a black-and-white image of Duchess Kate Middleton, the statement read, “This is one of three new paintings that will enter the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, of which The Duchess is a patron.”

Responding to the tweet, the National Portrait Gallery commented, “Thrilled to welcome three new paintings to our collection!”

In the picture shared on Twitter, the Duchess is seen in Alexander McQueen’s gown. a report by vogue confirmation of. It further added that the earrings worn by the Duchess in the photo once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The new portraits will be part of the collection of the National Portrait Gallery, which is planned to reopen in 2023. ET. a report of, the pictures will be featured in the gallery’s “Coming Home” project. The “Coming Home” project has been described by the palace as “a nationwide initiative in which portraits of well-known persons are sent to places they are closely associated with.” Its purpose is to give the people of the United Kingdom the opportunity to see locally renowned works.

Before the National Portrait Gallery reopens in 2023, the images will be shown in three locations dear to the Duchess. They will be on display throughout the year at Kate Middleton’s home county of Berkshire, her alma mater at St Andrew’s University in Scotland, as well as Anglesey in Wales, where she first lived after her marriage to Prince William.

The photos received unanimous praise online. Responding to the picture shared on Twitter, a user said, “I am speechless, this image is simply iconic and will go down in history!”

Sharing a picture of Princess Diana, another comment said, “Reminds me of a very little Princess Diana dress.”

Duchess Kate Middleton has been married to Prince William since 2011. Prince William, who is the Duke of Cambridge, is second in the line of succession to the British throne. The couple has three children.
