Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu:
Three Class 10 students in Tamil Nadu have been arrested for the alleged gang-rape of their classmate, a 15-year-old girl.
The boys had also shared a video recording of the alleged sexual assault. Another boy who had a relationship with her has been arrested for stalking her.
Ms Kiruba, police inspector in Thittakudi told NDTV, “The alleged criminals, all minors from Cuddalore district, had blackmailed the girl student with a picture which showed her with her boyfriend and threatened her to come to a boy’s house. was where the attack took place. Location.”
Police say that the girl had recently gone to the house of a former senior student friend to celebrate her birthday. One of the alleged perpetrators, a classmate, who had captured a picture of the boy and the girl together, blackmailed him, saying that he would show it to his parents, and asked him to come to his house behind the school. . When she went there during the lunch break on the first of this month, a total of three boys sexually assaulted her and one even videographed the crime, which was later shared with other students.
On learning that the video was being shared, the girl told everything to her mother after which the police swung into action. The police have arrested the accused for rape and also invoked the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses). The minor boys who violated the law have been sent to the observation home.
Cuddalore Superintendent of Police, Mr. S. Sakthi Ganesan said, “Only three boys had allegedly sexually assaulted her. The fourth boy has been booked for stalking her. He was in a relationship with her earlier.”
