Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday slammed opposition parties for their promise of government jobs to the people of Uttar Pradesh, saying they gave only two lakh government jobs in 10 years (Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party governments) while Yogi Government has created five lakh jobs in the last five years.

“Today they (opposition parties) are again trying to mislead the youth of the state in the name of jobs. The truth is that in 10 years they gave government jobs to only two lakh people, that too nepotism (brother-nepotism). nepotism), casteism and corruption,” PM Modi said while addressing a rally in Prayagraj.

The Prime Minister said that the jobs given during the Bharatiya Janata Party’s tenure were not based on the criteria adopted by the opposition parties, but “jobs were given to the children of the poor with complete transparency.”

Further, criticizing the opposition over discrepancies in the selection process of government jobs during the previous government, PM Modi said, “The game they played by appointing traders in the selection commissions destroyed the lives of the deserving youth of the state.” “

“Earlier the syllabus of PCS exam in Uttar Pradesh was different from that of UPSC. Our government understood your problem and today UP PCS and UPSC have the same syllabus. Now with the same hard work youth can give both the exams.” she added.

Prime Minister Modi’s Prayagraj rally is ahead of the fifth phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh on February 27.

Uttar Pradesh, which has 403 assembly seats, is going to polls in seven phases, of which four rounds have already been completed. The four-phase polling was held on February 10, 14, 20 and 23.

Voting for the last two phases of seats will be held on March 3 and March 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
