A helicopter carrying pilgrims today crashed near Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, killing six people, including a pilot.
Officials said the helicopter crashed near Garu Chatti, confirming that six bodies have been recovered so far.

The helicopter crashed just after take off from Kedarnath. Sources said that a total of seven people, including a pilot, were on board the helicopter.
According to reports, the accident took place due to bad weather and poor visibility. The details are being ascertained, he said.

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expressed grief over the incident and said that the situation is being continuously monitored.
