5 Smart Ways to Use Your Leftover Coffee Grounds The Times of India

Coffee grounds also help with pest control in the garden. Snails, slugs and ants are deterred by scattering powdered ground in garden beds or over potted plants. You can tie the ground in a band to create a barrier around the plants that ward off ants and slugs. Just keep in mind that as the coffee grounds go bad, they will make everything more acidic.

You can also put a 1-2 inch thick line around sensitive areas of your home to prevent ant colonies from entering. Every two weeks, you should replace that line with new grounds.
