500 All India Scholarships for Children and Youth from Low Socio-Economic Background – Times of India

Gurgaon: A total of 500 scholarships are up for grabs for children and youth from low and socio-economic backgrounds. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to students from across the country belonging to low-income families to continue and complete their education. Scholarship initiated by M3M Foundationthe benevolent hand of M3M Groupunder them literate program, The scholarship program is designed to help bridge the financial gap that often prevents students from pursuing their dreams of higher education.
Several factors will be considered when establishing scholarship criteria for applicants, including financial needs, achievements, geographic distribution and demographic characteristics.
Dr Payal Kanodia, Trustee, M3M Foundation said, “At M3M Foundation, we aim to harness and nurture the potential through our scholarship program within children who are facing financial constraints for education. It is defined by creating and providing the future generation with the resources to overcome obstacles and fulfill their dreams.”
Dr Kanodia further informed that the scholarship is divided into two categories. One for the students facing financial difficulty. This scholarship provides financial assistance to the children of families whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh. Students up to class 8 will be able to avail 100% tuition fee, while students of class 9 and above will be provided with 75% tuition fee.
The second kind of scholarship is for meritorious students which will provide financial assistance to 100 deserving students who are struggling financially to opt for higher vocational/technical education. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have secured a minimum of 85% marks. “The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the youth unemployment rate in India, leaving around 74% of youth in the 18-23 age group without access to higher education due to reasons such as lack of funds. Thus, we hope to help address this employment problem in the best way possible,” she said.
The scholarship selection process will be transparent and ethical. The last date of application is 15 September 2022. The details of the same can be seen on their website www.m3mfoundation.org
