1. Cheese:

If you are one of the many people who affirm a passion for cheese, then you have another explanation for instantly savoring this delicious food. A survey states that eating cheese raises the pH in the mouth and reduces the risk of tooth decay. It is believed that chewing cheese increases saliva in the mouth. Paneer also contains calcium and protein, nutrients that strengthen teeth.

2. Leafy Green Vegetables:

Leafy greens generally pop their way onto any healthy diet plan. They are low in calories as well as rich in vitamins and minerals. Leafy greens such as kale and spinach also improve oral health. They are high in calcium, which builds up the enamel on your teeth.

3. Apples:

While doctors recommend staying away from most sugary foods, there are exceptions. Fruits, such as apples, can be sweet, but they are also high in water and fiber. Eating apples produces saliva in your mouth, which washes away bacteria and grains. The fibrous structure of the fruit also promotes gum health. Eating an apple isn’t the equivalent of brushing your teeth with fluoridated toothpaste, but it can bother you until you have the opportunity to brush.

4. Yogurt:

Like cottage cheese, yogurt is rich in calcium and protein, which makes it an ideal choice for the strength and health of your teeth. The probiotics or helpful bacteria found in yogurt also benefit your gums as the good bacteria kill off the cavity-causing bacteria. If you choose to include more yogurt in your diet, preferably go for a plain variety without added sugar.

5. Carrots:

Like apples, carrots are crunchy and rich in fiber. Eating several raw carrots after every meal increases the production of saliva in your mouth, which reduces your risk of cavities. Along with being rich in fiber, carrots are an important source of vitamin A. Drizzle a few slices of raw carrots on top of salad, or enjoy some baby carrots on their own.

6. Almonds:

Almonds are beneficial for your teeth as they are low in sugar as well as a good source of calcium and protein. Enjoy a handful of almonds with lunch. You can also add a handful to a salad or stir-fry dinner.
