6 year old child ordered food worth more than 80 thousand rupees from father’s phone, was surprised

Nowadays the craze of smartphone is so much that even children have become addicted to it. We often see parents giving in to the demands of young children watching videos and playing games on the phone. A father regularly let his 6-year-old play games for half an hour before the phone malfunctioned. But one particular day turned into a nightmare for them. Instead of playing the game, the young boy opened a food delivery app and ordered food in bulk from various restaurants, resulting in an order worth $1000 (roughly Rs. 82,000).

Out at home with his mother on Saturday night, the boy from Chesterfield Township in Metro Detroit ordered all that food from the food delivery app Grubhub. Throughout it all, his father, Keith Stonehouse, assumed he was playing the game. And to make it worse, the guy even gave a 25% tip on every order! When the doorbell kept ringing and food deliveries started pouring in one after the other, his father sensed something.

First came some shrimp appetizers from Happy’s restaurant, then chicken pita sandwiches from Shawarma and ice cream from Leo’s. And the food kept on coming, which included jumbo prawns, salad, chili cheese fries, ice cream, grape leaves, rice and more!

“It was like something out of a ‘Saturday Nightlive’ play,” Stonehouse told MLive. “I was putting Mason to bed and saw a car stop and the doorbell rang and the driver was hauling down a big bag of stuff. My wife has a bakery called “A Slice of Heaven Cake” and it’s a big It was the wedding weekend, so I thought it was just some decorative item they used to drop off her. But it was from Coney Island in Leo. I said, ‘What the heck?'”

Telling the story further, Stonehouse said, “The doorbell rang again, and it kept happening. Car after car. Cars were pulling into the driveway while others were pulling out. I looked at my bank account and it was empty.” was happening.”

After the incident made headlines, the app Grubhub reached out to the Stonehouse family and offered them a $1,000 gift card. All is well that ends well.
