Salem reported 48 fresh cases, taking the total to 1,00,394. While 54 people were discharged, 588 were undergoing treatment. One person died, taking the death toll to 1,689. 39 new cases have been reported in Namakkal district, taking the number of infected to 52,623. While 32 persons were discharged, there are 460 active cases in the district.
