There is no dearth of motivational stories on social media. We can easily find all kinds of content by typing a few words in the search bar or scrolling through social media. However, only a few stories leave a lasting impression on our hearts. These are pictures and videos that go viral in an instant and can range from being happy, emotional or inspirational! And recently one such viral video that is making us feel all kinds of emotions is the story of 70 year old man Jayanti Dada, who is selling Poha Chana Chivda on his bicycle!
In a video uploaded by Instagram user @abhinavjeswani, we see a street vendor selling poha chana chivda with his bicycle and a warm smile. The video begins with Jayanti Dada taking out a paper and preparing poha on it. He adds a handful of prepared poha first. Then he tops it with murmura, kala chana, spices and serves it!

According to @abhinavjeswani, Jayanti Dada sells his poha for only Rs 20 per plate. The user also told that he sells poha on the streets of Gandhibagh and Itwari, Nagpur from 6 pm to 8 pm. He then goes for his duty as a security guard at Mahajanwadi.
The 70-year-old manages two jobs to pay for expenses and medical bills as his salary is low. Have a look at the video:
Ever since the video was uploaded, it has garnered 1.8 million views, 275k likes and many heartwarming and supportive comments. One user wrote, “He was the security guard of our building for a year. Very hardworking. He was doing night duty by selling poha. His poha chana chivda is amazing. Must try.” Another user also added that “the smile at the end of the day it wears off is worth all the strength and life we really should have.”
Many users have said that they want to help Jayanti Dada financially and have asked for his phone number to send money. @abhinavjeswani has also created a fundraiser for him.
