7,350 new covid cases, 202 deaths reported in India in last 24 hours

New Delhi: India’s coronavirus tally rose to 3,46,97,860 with 7,350 people testing positive for the infection in a day, while the number of active cases declined to 91,456, the highest in 561 days, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. is less.

According to the data updated at 8 am, the death toll from the pandemic has risen to 4,75,636 with 202 new deaths.

The daily increase in new coronavirus infections has been recorded below 15,000 for the past 46 days.

The Health Ministry said that the number of active cases has come down to 91,456, comprising 0.26 per cent of the total infections, which is the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.37 per cent, as of March 2020. Most since. ,

The number of active COVID-19 cases has registered a decline of 825 cases in a 24-hour period.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.86 per cent. It is less than 2 per cent for the last 70 days.

The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 0.69 per cent. According to the ministry, it has been below 1 per cent for the last 29 days.

The number of people recovering from the disease rose to 3,41,30,768, while the death rate was recorded at 1.37 per cent.

The cumulative dose administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign has exceeded 133.17 crore.

India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7, 2020; 30 lakh as on August 23; 40 lakhs on 5th September and 50 lakhs on 16th September. It crossed 60 lakhs on 28 September; 70 lakhs on 11th October, crossed 80 lakhs on 29th October; 90 lakh on 20 November and crossed the one crore mark on 19 December.

India crossed the grim milestone of 20 million coronavirus cases on May 4 and 30 million on June 23.
