765 jumps in 24 hours: Man sets new world record for bungee jumping

Francois-Marie Dibon planned the epic challenge for over 5 years and trained for months.

A man from France has set a new world record for the most bungee jumps in 24 hours. François-Marie Dibon began her search at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, and ended at 10 a.m. (Scotland time) on Wednesday at the Highland Fling bungee platform at Gary Bridge in Perthshire.

According to GuardianMr Dibon, 44, made 765 jumps in the said time period, breaking the previous record held by New Zealand’s Mike Hurd, who completed 430 jumps at the Auckland Harbor Bridge in 2017.

According to Herald ScotlandMr Dibon, 44, broke that record in just 12 hours, completing his 431st jump at 10.30 pm on Tuesday.

Guinness World Records judge Joan Brent, who verified the record, said Dibon’s effort was “inspirational”. Guardian report good.

“I used to be afraid of heights, and bungee jumping is a great treat. I found it worth the effort to face your fears and overcome them. So I decided to put that statement to the test,” he said. Told BBC Before starting the quest to break the world record.

Mr Dibon said it would be his “delight to bring the record to Scotland.”

He planned the epic challenge for over five years and trained for months. His first bungee jump happened 11 years ago.

Mr Dibon completed the challenge with 15 crew members who worked in shifts over a 24-hour period.

“We’re all working together to ensure safety, jump counting, so it’s really a team effort,” he said.
