Paper Leak: UP Board of Secondary Education canceled class 12 English exam in 24 districts
District Magistrate Ballia Indra Vikram Singh and SP Rajkaran Nayyar said that after preliminary inquiry into the allegations of leaking of English paper of UP Board Intermediate examination, three FIRs were registered at Kotwali, Nagra and Sikanderpur police stations.

Nayar said that so far 17 people, including DIOS Brajesh Mishra and a college teacher Ajit Ojha, have been arrested in these three cases. Further investigation is on, he said.
Taking serious note of the viral of UP Board Intermediate exam English paper on social media and some newspapers, Ballia DM and SP constituted several teams of officials to collect evidence. Based on the same, City Magistrate Pradeep Kumar gave a complaint to the Kotwali police. On his complaint an FIR was registered against DIOS, Ojha and an unidentified person under Sections 4, 5, 6 of the UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, Section 420 of the IPC and 66B of the IT Act. Two of these were arrested.
A similar FIR was registered at Nagra police station in which 10 accused were arrested. Sikandarpur Police has also arrested five accused by registering another FIR in this connection.
