15th edition of FIH Women World The cup is already running. Spain hosted Canada in the opening match of the tournament. The quadrangular tournament is being co-hosted by two countries, Spain and the Netherlands. This is the first major global tournament in women’s hockey since the Tokyo Olympics.
A total of 40 matches will be played in the tournament from July 1 to July 17 at various venues. 16 nations have qualified for the World Cup and are divided into four pools, with four teams in each pool. After the group stage, the top teams from each pool will qualify directly for the quarter-final stage. The second and third placed teams will then play against each other in a crossover matchup to decide the final four quarterfinalists.

Spain defeated Canada 4–1 in a Pool C match at the Estadi Olympique de Teresa Stadium. India Those ranked 8th in the FIH World Rankings will begin their campaign against England in a Pool B match on Sunday, 3 July.
