engine and performance
As the name suggests, the Hero XPulse 200 is now equipped with a 200 cc, four-valve, oil-cooled engine that produces 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.35 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. With 6 per cent more power and 5 per cent additional torque, the new engine is said to ensure a relaxed and stress-free performance at high speeds. According to Hero MotoCorp, the four-valve, oil-cooled engine delivers superior power in the mid- and top-end speed ranges, but provides stress-free engine performance even at high speeds while keeping vibrations under control. For better heat management, the cooling system has been updated with a 7-fin oil cooler. The gear ratio has also been updated for better tractability and acceleration, and the overall transmission has been improved.
suspension and kit
The stock Hero XPulse 200 4 valve has longer suspension travel, with 190 mm of forward travel, and 170 mm of rear travel, with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel. The XPulse 200 also comes with a standard aluminum skid plate that protects the engine, and a new toothed brake pedal for better grip, and an upward-facing exhaust for easier handling of water crossings.
Dual-purpose tyres, 10-step adjustable mono-shock suspension, accessible seat height of 825 mm and high ground clearance of 220 mm provide good off-road capability for all kinds of two-wheeled adventures. The XPulse 200 now comes with a standard luggage plate with bungee hooks for carrying luggage even with a rear passenger on board.
rally kit
The 2021 Hero XPulse 200 4 Valve will continue to receive the rally kit to transform the stock bike into a more capable rally machine. The rally kit is street legal, and is equivalent to FMSCI-approved motorsports events.
Improved features, new colors
The outgoing XPulse 200 was known to have a weak headlight throw, and that seems to have been addressed in the four-valve version. The enhanced LED headlight is said to provide better visibility at night.
