Nabila Syed has created history by becoming the youngest member to be elected to the Illinois General Assembly. In the recently held US mid-term elections, the 23-year-old Indian-American defeated his Republican rival Chris Bose. He received 52.3% of the vote in the 51st district election in the Illinois State House of Representatives.
