Independent composer Hemant Jois will release a song featuring actor Sundarashree on his YouTube channel on February 4.
Young musician/composer Hemant Jois has come up with a song titled ‘Khushi 2’. The EDM song was released on Hemant Joi’s YouTube channel – The Joysproject – on 4 February at 12 noon.
Hemant says, ‘Kushi 2’ is a sequel to ‘Khushi’, which was released on his channel in September 2021. “While the first song talked about a little boy and his grandmother, ‘Khushi 2’ talks about an older boy and his grandmother, who is on her deathbed.”
He describes the song as a unique Kannada EDM. “Kannada music doesn’t have many EDM songs. The song is sung by Chetan Naik, written by Pramod Maravanthe and directed by Chinmay, Rakshit Teerthahalli and shot by Guruprasad Naranad.
The song features actor Sundarashree, who is the great-granddaughter of Gubbi Veeranna.
“Dadi has very little time left in the song. She wants to celebrate life and inspire her introverted grandson to live life to the fullest. She makes bucket lists for both of them.”
Hemant reveals that ‘Khushi’ and ‘Khushi 2’ are dedicated to grandmothers. “My grandmother was a very brave woman. She was not afraid of anything and died of a heart attack in the 80s. We realized that there are very few songs dedicated to grandmothers, while there are many songs on the bond between mother and child or father and son/daughter. So, we decided to make a song using EDM format, which is rare even in Kannada.
