Aamir Khan, on the eve of his 57th birthday, revealed that he received the best birthday present ever earlier this week. Speaking to News18 India, the actor revealed that his ex-wife Kiran Rao gave him the best birthday present he could have asked for. Aamir revealed that after Kiran returned from a month-long shoot schedule in Bhopal earlier this week, the former couple sat down to chat together. That’s when Aamir asked him to list down his weaknesses and shortcomings so that he could work on them.
“Kiran was away for a month, busy with a shoot in Bhopal and she returned a few days back. So we sat together and I usually asked her, ‘Kiran, you know me best, can you tell me such things – given that I am going through a phase where I am a Trying to improve as a person is what I’m trying to focus on. My Weaknesses – Can you tell me some things that you find my weaknesses and shortcomings that I should focus on?’ He gave me a list of ten to twelve points, which I sat down and wrote down. So that was the best birthday gift of my life,” revealed the Laal Singh Chaddha actor.
“The points he gave me were so to the point, I thought, ‘Yeah, he’s actually right! I’m like, that’s my flaw.’ so i think this is the best birthday gift of my life.he told my weakness honestly and lovingly,no one tells you what he told me.that i respect and my love has grown for them.
Aamir and Kiran had been married for 15 years before they announced their separation in July 2021. In a statement announcing their separation, Aamir and Kiran said, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared the experiences, joy and laughter of a lifetime, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love. Now We would like to start a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family to each other. We started a planned separation a while back, and now Feel comfortable formalizing this arrangement, sharing their lives as one extended family despite living apart.” Aamir and Kiran said that they would continue to be devoted parents to their son Azad, who they would raise and raise together.
