AAP criticizes Goa BJP government for ending EV subsidy, learn from Kejriwal

State Vice President of Aam Aadmi Party, Ed. Surel Tilve has criticized the BJP government for scrapping the subsidy program for electric vehicles in Goa and suggested that the Pramod Sawant administration learn from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on how to make the program a success instead of scrapping it.

Tilve pointed out that when people were complaining about the high cost of fuel, Goa BJP minister Nilesh Cabral advised them to take advantage of the government’s subsidy program and buy electric vehicles. “What advice would Cabral give to the government in light of this decision (to discontinue the EV subsidy scheme),” Tilve asked.

He said, “Two years after the Delhi government’s electric vehicle policy was implemented, more than 60,000 electric vehicles have been registered there. On the other hand, the BJP-led government in Goa ended the scheme within seven months of its implementation. done.”

Tilve said AAP has provided over 2,300 charging stations (in Delhi) in less than two years and many more are being built.

Tilve advised, “Instead of trying to imitate Arvind Kejriwal’s strategies without understanding how to make them successful, CM Pramod Sawant should be humble and ask the Chief Minister of Delhi to teach him.”
