AAP dissolves its Gujarat unit ahead of assembly polls, forms new committees

The Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday said its Gujarat organizational structure has been disbanded to restructure the party unit with the aim of defeating the ruling BJP in the state assembly elections due later this year. The party’s state chief Gopal Italia told reporters here, “Except for the post of AAP Gujarat president, all other posts of the party have been dissolved, and a bigger and more powerful structure will soon be announced in its place as part of the electoral strategy.” Will.”

He said that with this announcement, all party posts of state, district, taluka level, frontal organizations have been dissolved. “The organization of AAP Gujarat has been dissolved. The post of state president will continue. You are taking your organization to the booth level. An active, strong organization will be announced soon,” the party’s state in-charge Sandeep Pathak said in a tweet in Hindi. He said, ‘Aam Aadmi’s organization will end the misrule of the BJP rule for 27 years. Congress has been wiped out. Now, Kejriwal is the only hope,” he said.

Talking to reporters, Italia said that the Aam Aadmi Party is working under the leadership of AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal with the aim of winning the state assembly elections and defeating the BJP. “The party has devised a powerful strategy, which has to be implemented in the months leading up to the elections,” he said. He said the strategy needed to expand the organization to implement and achieve results, which is why AAP has decided to dissolve all its units and party posts in Gujarat except the state president’s post.

He claimed that AAP has got huge public support through its various programs organized in the state like ‘Parivartan Yatra’, ‘Tiranga Yatra’ and two rallies organized by Kejriwal in the last few months. AAP’s ideology has reached every household and people are aware of the good work done by the party’s government in Delhi, he further claimed, adding, “Lakhs of people have joined the party”. “The AAP has grown tremendously in Gujarat, with thousands of people donating their money and time and leaders working hard to help the party grow at the state, taluka and village levels,” he said. Italia also claimed that AAP has established itself as a strong alternative to the opposition Congress in Gujarat. The party is trying to take on the ruling BJP and is looking to contest all the 182 assembly seats in the state in the upcoming elections.

AAP’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal has visited Gujarat four times in the last three months, most recently visiting the Patidar citadel of Mehsana. It has also forged an alliance with the Tribal Party of India, keeping an eye on tribal-dominated seats in the state.
