Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday congratulated the people of Punjab for launching the Bhagwant Mann government’s free electricity scheme in the state, saying the party follows talk. Providing 300 units of free electricity every month to each household was one of the key election promises of the AAP, and announced a plan to this effect after coming to power earlier this year.
This scheme has become effective from Friday. “Congratulations to the people of Punjab! From today, the people of Punjab will get 300 units of electricity free of cost. Lakhs of families will now have zero electricity bill every month,” Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi alongside the roll out of the scheme.
“We have fulfilled our promise. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) does what it says. People of Punjab will also get freedom from expensive electricity.
