It is no secret that actor Shahid Kapoor is a petrol at heart. The star has some of the most fun and luxurious cars in his garage over the years and he also has a great collection of motorcycles. While he currently has a luxurious Mercedes-Benz S400 with a daily AMG treatment, the actor has now joined the Maybach club along with his contemporaries. Kapoor became one of the first customers of the new launch Mercedes-Maybach S580Whose pictures have now gone viral online. Mercedes-Maybach S580 is locally assembled in the country and its price starts from ₹ 2.5 Cr (ex-showroom, India).

The Mercedes-Maybach S680 4MATIC is the automaker’s flagship offering and is powered by the monstrous 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 496 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to an EQ Boost 48-volt mild-hybrid system for improved initial acceleration and fuel efficiency. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. This is also one of the most powerful cars in Shahid’s garage at the moment. 0-100 kmph is clocked in 4.7 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.

The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class also impresses on the feature front with the MBUX infotainment system that comes with five screens in the cabin. The interior of the limousine is done in Nappa leather upholstery while there is also a Burmester sound system. The S-Class Maybach has become the first car in India to get Level 2 autonomous driving with Evasive Steering Assist and Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function.

Coming to the Kapoor garage, there is the Jaguar XK-R, Land Rover Range Rover Vogue, Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, the previous generation S-Class and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. The Ishq Vishk actor also gifted a Mercedes-Benz ML-Class to his father and actor Pankaj Kapur a few years back. On the two wheels side, Shahid these days can be seen in his new Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special. He also had Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, Yamaha MT-01, etc. On the work front, the actor will next be seen in Jersey. He has a film with director Ali Abbas Zafar as well as a web series with directors Raj and DK. While Jersey is slated for release in a few weeks, other projects are currently under production.
