Written by Alison Peck, this coming-of-age film will also star Idina Menzel, Sarah Sherman, Luis Guzman, Samantha Lorraine, Dylan Hoffman, Dean Scott Vazquez, Mia Seach, Millie Thorpe and newcomers Zara Kuttamperur and Ivory Baker.
According to DiversityDirector Sammy Cohen’s teen comedy is currently in production.
The novel follows a girl whose bat mitzvah (Jewish initiation ceremony) threatens to comically expose and ruin one of the most important events of her young life.
Sandler and Tim Herlihy are producing the film for Happy Madison, along with Leslie Morgenstein and Alyssa Koplowitz Dutton for Alloy Entertainment. Barry Bernardi, Judit Maul and Kevin Grady are executive producers for Happy Madison.
