Electric Vehicle (EV) and tech start up, EKA has partnered with Newport to introduce a new smart electric bus featuring Level 2 autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The company claims that this is a first of its kind initiative in India towards progressive level 2 autonomy and the use and inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for electric buses on our roads. The technology will be deployed in over 5,000 buses with a minimum investment of around ₹150 crore in innovation.
