‘Adhering to UN concerns on terror’, Ajit Doval at National Security Advisors meeting

New Delhi:

The first meeting of the National Security Advisors of the Central Asian countries was held in Delhi in the presence of India. The current situation in Afghanistan, the security and stability of the region were discussed in the meeting. With that, it was agreed that Afghanistan should have peace, sovereignty, territorial integrity and no one should interfere in their internal affairs. It was emphasized in the meeting that Afghanistan cannot use it as a safe haven to plot attacks against other countries. The United Nations will not allow anyone to reach there.

In view of the ever-deteriorating humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, there was talk of humanitarian aid. The meeting expressed concern that propaganda, funding and judicial recruitment is a major problem in Central Asia and needs to be tackled together. Use of new technology for terror, drug abuse, misinformation in cyberspace and use of drones are new threats. This first meeting of the National Security Advisors at the Chabahar port also discussed and emphasized how seizing the humanitarian problem in Afghanistan played an important role and how it could be used to increase trade and mobilization.

In the meeting, India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval insisted on following the UN’s warning in the matter of terror from all the countries. In this meeting, a consensus has been reached on this manifesto.
