Advisor to Chief Minister of Rajasthan asked people to raise slogans of ‘Rajiv Gandhi Amar Rahe’, ‘Ashok Gehlot Zindabad’. watch

The advisor to the Rajasthan chief minister on Tuesday issued a decree asking supporters to stick to only two slogans given by the party at a public function, failing which they would be taken to the police, prompting the BJP to say That the government lacks “slogans or confidence”. Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the block level Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games and also laid the foundation stone of several development works at Dudu here.

In a public meeting organized in this regard, independent Dudu MLA Babulal Nagar, who is also Gehlot’s advisor, warned people against raising any slogans other than ‘Rajiv Gandhi amar rahe’ and ‘Ashok Gehlot zindabad’. Nagar said, “I have given you two slogans. ‘Rajiv Gandhi Amar Rahe’ and ‘Ashok Gehlot Zindabad’. Don’t raise any other slogans. You can go if you want.

“If someone raises the slogan, the police will take you away. They will lock you up and register a case,” he said. Poonia took to Twitter, targeting the Congress on this issue.

He wrote in Hindi, “Congress…character…flattering…restriction. Slogans bhi laga hai.. Either there is a lack of slogans or people.. or thinking.. or trust.”
