After 27 months, MLA Azam Khan to walk out of jail for ‘happy faces, questioning SP’s rough patch’

Jailed Samajwadi Party MLA Mohammad from Rampur (Sadar) assembly seat Aajam Khan After a long gap of almost 27 months, he will finally come out of jail. Earlier on Thursday, the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Azam Khan in the 89th case registered against him.

A bench of Supreme Court Justice L Nageswara Rao, Justice BR Gavai and Justice S Gopanna gave this order on the interim bail of Azam Khan.

Meanwhile, his bail orders reached Sitapur Jail late on Thursday night where Azam Khan was lodged. The orders were received by the jailer Ranjay Singh. According to the information, Azam Khan will come out of jail at 8 am on Friday. Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam will also reach Sitapur Jail to receive his father. Some local leaders of the Samajwadi Party have also reached Sitapur Jail to receive him.

It is learned that Azam Khan is going straight from Sitapur Jail to Rampur.

Meanwhile, giving her response to the interim bail granted to Azam Khan by the Supreme Court, his wife Tazeen Fatima expressed her gratitude to the court and also thanked all those who stood by the family during their difficult times. Tazeen Fatima, however, avoided a question about Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam tweeted, ‘Inshallah tomorrow (May 20) morning my father will come out of jail like a new sun with the first ray of sun. The rays of this new morning will dispel the darkness of all oppression.”

Now all eyes will be on the equation of Azam Khan and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav There were speculations that Azam Khan was unhappy with the party leadership. Also, people close to Khan alleged that the SP leadership had left Azam Khan to ‘rot in jail’.

Akhilesh Yadav’s estranged uncle and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party chief Shivpal Yadav had also said that the Samajwadi Party is not doing anything for the jailed SP MLA.
