After ban in Italy, this European agency created ChatGPT Taskforce

Europe’s privacy watchdog European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has set up a task force on OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot. The move comes weeks after Italy banned conversational chatbots. Discussions on ChatGPT began earlier this week following a request from Spain.

Talking about the task force, EDPB said, “EDPB members discussed the recent enforcement action taken by the Italian Data Protection Authority against OpenAI. chat gpt Service.”

It added, “EDPB decided to launch a dedicated task force to promote cooperation and exchange information on potential enforcement actions taken by data protection authorities.”

However, there seemed to be a silver lining OpenAI With reports suggesting chatbots but make general policies that are ‘transparent’. New agency Reuters quoted an unnamed national watchdog as saying that EDPB countries were trying to align their policy positions on the ChatGPT but that it would take time.
