Daltonganj : Two days after two persons were attacked by bears in Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR) has asked the villagers living in and around the forest areas to be cautious while going into the forests.
In one incident, a 40-year-old woman identified as Punia Devi of Orsa village was injured when a lone adult bear attacked her. She was in her backyard vegetable garden when the animal attacked her. He was taken to Mahuadnar Community Health Center for first aid, after which he was released mahuadanari ranger Brinda Pandey,
In another incident, 45-year-old tribal Anand Rohit Tigga Kona While he was negotiating a forest path at night, Hamlet was crushed by three bears. “He has sustained wounds all over his torso and has been admitted to the Sadar Hospital in Latehar,” Pandey said, adding that the villagers mostly go to the forest to collect mushrooms and bamboo shoots.
