After the earthquake in Indonesia, a magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck southwest of Malango in the Solomon Islands

malango [Solomon Islands]: A 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck southwest of Malango in the Solomon Islands on Tuesday, the United States Geological Survey said. The earthquake occurred on 22 November at 02:03:07 (UTC) at a depth of 15.0 km.

The epicenter of the earthquake was determined at 9.790 degrees south longitude and 159.601 degrees east longitude. However, no casualty has been reported so far. Earthquake comes a day later 5.6 magnitude earthquake hits IndonesiaMain island of Java.

More than 160 people were killed in the earthquake in Java, Indonesia, said Ridwan Kamil, the governor of West Java, CNN reported. Rescue workers are searching for people trapped in the debris. Kamil said most of those killed were children. Kamil said the death toll could rise further.

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Cianjur region of West Java at 1:21 pm local time on November 21, CNN reported. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
